How does a Trunk Show work?

Purchasing at a Trunk Show is very different from retail shopping at a store.  You shop by preferred appointment, in a private home with all the conveniences it provides . . .

When are the clothes for sale?

The ETCETERA line is available for sale seasonally, year around. "Spring" is typically introduced in the month of February, "Summer" in late March/early April. The "Fall" line arrives in early August, and "Holiday" goes on sale in early October. We show during a one-week period for each of the seasons. We welcome you to make an appointment for any show at any time.


What sizes do you have?

ETCETERA is a line of separates in sizes 0-16.


Why should I shop this way?

It gives you a head start on the seasons, and the new fashion trends. You'll buy your important, "anchor" pieces with us then, when you go retail shopping, you can fill in with other pieces in a way that will make sense. We will also keep track of everything you purchase. If you are worried that a particular piece may have been popular with your friends, we can look it up and make sure it will not be oversold.


When can I look at the clothes?

Since the line is available for seven days a season, We encourage you to
make an appointment to assure that we are available when you are. Commit to the time.  There are about 400 pieces in the Spring/Summer Line and about 400 pieces in the Fall/Holiday collection.

How do I know which size to order?
We will have a sample of each garment available in one or two sizes. If we don't have the exact item in your size, we should have a similar item (different fabric) in your size for you to try for fit.  We then order the garment you are interested in, in your size. Don't worry: we will be available to help you select coordinating pieces, advise you on fit and check availability.


How do I pay for my purchases?

We accept cash, check, Mastercard, VISA and Discover.


When will my clothes arrive?
Most garments are in the warehouse at the point of sale, ready to ship, and be at your door within a week to two weeks. On occasion, an item will have a "ship by" date. It may have required special attention for any number of reasons, waiting to be processed by the NY warehouse, or be in a second re-cut.   We should be able to let you know the expected arrival date at the point of sale.


What if something doesn't fit?

Please try your clothes on as soon as they arrive. Send us an e-mail or give us a call and let us know if you have concerns. Contact us within 48 hours if you can. We will get online and order the better size for you right away. Then again, if the clothes you have received are just not working for you, let us know that, too. If returned within 7 days of receipt, we will take care of your return and refund your money right away.  Items returned after our cut-off date may be eligible for a store credit.
